Ionocidium in S/H? Female
Default Ionocidium in S/H?

I just picked up one of these today at Orchid Fest. Couldn't resist it.

It's a cross between Onc. flexuosum and Ionopsis utricularioides. I'm thinking that it'll do okay in S/H.

It has just started blooming, so I've got some time before I can move it over. Just planning ahead.

Any thoughts?

Don't see why it shouldn't.

Were you at Orchid Fest at Park Side nursery? My wife and I went for the first time Saturday. Between the two of us, we picked up Oncindium Sharry Baby 'Sweet Fragrance', Paph. delenatii, Paph. (In-Charm White 'In-Charm' x niveum 'Nae Shan' SM/TPS), Phal. 'Mini Mark Holm', Phal. violacea var. Sumatra, and Dendrochilum wenzelii. Good thing we had a budget. You could really get carried away there.

Cheers.
Jim

Nice picks!

I usually go every year. I was there on Saturday, as well, but didn't stay as long as I would like. My DH got stung by a bunch of ground bees the day before and wasn't feeling well, so I whipped through as quickly as I could. The poor thing passed out as soon as we got home and slept the rest of the day, which is extremely unusual for him.

I came away with only two plants - the ionocidium and a brassia (the brassia was his pick - he usually picks one for himself and I grow it for him). I had planned to pick up a couple of mini catts, but didn't.

Since I live 40 minutes away, I usually go to Parkside's annual sale in November, too. I'll get my catts then.
