I usually give mine water once every two weeks or so. Just keep an eye on it to make sure the pbulbs don't shrivel to much.

Dry, dry, dry. Once it's done growing for the season, keep it very bright and DO NOT water until the spikes appear. This plant really needs to be abused in the winter to bloom.

Don't worry about David Sander sheath drying. This is normal. The bud will form within the dry sheath. Do not cut and peal until you see the bud!!!

Mabel - Howard Fitch is a MILITONIA/BRASSIA cross. Miltonopsis are not the same and are very intolerant of temps that get to warm. I would not consider them for outdoors culture durring the summer....
