That caterpillar turns into a gorgeous butterfly
The caterpillar in the photo is a Gulf Fritillary, Agraulis vanillae. They feed on passion vines as larvae although most of them are not quite as slow-moving or -witted as this one. Here's a link...

Relax. These things are completely harmless.
The wee beasties appear to be springtails (Order Collembola). Springtails are detritivores, feeding on dead and decaying plant material, and will pose no harm to living plants. If any of them are...
