I agree. The blue color is outstanding and it is a rare 'true' blue, not a purple blue. I am not sure that I would have the courage to cut the spike off. Beautiful plant!

I did not even see this rlc in spike. Only today did I notice the large blooms. According to my tracking, this is the 4th time it has bloomed--usually in July and August, but this time in February.
