Last time this one bloomed I got about two months out of them. I have two phals in spike, and at least one looks like it'll bloom in time for my birthday. :)

It's definatly looking like one now. At first it was hard to tell if it was a spike or a basal keiki. Now to see what the new growth on the left side is. :)

The poor thing was in pretty bad shape when I got. They had it marked down cause they were about to toss it out. I took a closer look and crown rot is an issue with it. Still has a couple good roots...

It is a phal, not sure on the crown rot. I'll try re-potting it with some more of the roots exposed and see what happens. Guess it's time to cross my fingers.

I got an orchid as a gift that is in pretty bad shape. The leafs themselves have fallen off, but the roots are still good and healthy. Is there any way to save the plant?

Looking for a good fertilizer

I had found a fertilizer i really liked for my orchids, the problem is I'm out of it and haven't had any luck finding more. Can anyone recommend a good fertilizer that I can find easily?

I think it'll be interesting to see what the flowers look like the next time it blooms. I like the spotted just as much as the solid, the plant itself is growing great so I think it's plenty healthy....

Thank you everyone, a spike didn't occur to me because most of my phals have already bloomed for the year. Either way basil keiki or spike I'm definitely looking forward to what it does.
