Mine seems seasonal. And the bloom only lasts a few days. This one is gone already. My other spikes all dried up.

I used to be a Phal killer. I now grow them fine. The key is to use CLEAR pots so you can see the roots. If they're gray, water. If they're green, don't water.

I use clear pots. They help me looks at the roots to tell whether or not I should water. They changed me from a Phal killer to a phal grower!

Ficus are very temperamental about being moved. They HATE it! They will lose a lot of leaves but regrow new ones. Keep it out of drafts ad let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. Bright light.

Since I collect rain water for my carnivorous plants I also use it on my orchids and other house plants. Rainwater is the best source, nearly zero total dissolved solids. Usually 2ppm.
