thanks all. The spike is growing pretty rapidly and I will post an update next week. This is a spike on an all-green foliage plant, so I am also very keen to see the blooms.

Freckles and her patterned pals are all doing fine. I had hoped that they would spike first, if not for the reason that my schilleriana spiked. This hybrid has schilleriana in its genetic composition which has patterned leaves.

that is Freckles.
She better not disappoint when she blooms but I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

the spike is about 4in long. It's a multifloral phal, so I am hoping that it will branch soon. I haven't a clue as to what to expect in a first blooming - maybe only has 1 or 2 blooms. We'll soon see. No spikes on any siblings, even though some are much larger.

Ahhh, the anticipation is too much for me even!

Maybe you'll be blessed with the emergence of some more spikes before this one blooms.

Thanks for the update!
