Re-potting on the basket
 
I brought one phal from the office back home after noticeing radiator dryes its roots off. Roots under crushed bark are green and juicy but that's not helping when they dry off like this (photo taken after re-potting but you get the idea)

I bought some small baskets and brought sphagnum from the forest

I don't know if this is a good or a bad idea, we'll see. Hope this helps to get it back but if not, let's say doesn't hate the bad result so much when the patient was already looking sick...

That's a great idea, I think it looks really neat. Seems like you have enough of the roots on the outside of the moss, that they shouldn't stay too wet - but still will be able to soak up some moisture from the moss.

Looks very natural.
