Oh no! Look what I've done!

I just got home with a rescue phalaenopsis. I repotted it and there was a mass of rotted Roots. it's been sitting in water for who-knows-how-long, and in the process of trimming them off, I put my thumb on the new Leaf coming out and I split it. What can I expect now?. The leaves on this phalaenopsis look very healthy, but there was no more than two viable routes left.

That's a practical method to increase leaf qty.
It will grow normally, I think. No worries! |
Thank you r barata😊!

Yes, it will keep growing with a little notch out of it. No problem. Good luck!

Thank you all for the reassurances. The roots of this phal were in such bad shape I would not be surprised if in spite all my efforts it didn't make it. I repotted it in bark with a well aerated pot, spritzed the roots with kelp max, and I put it on a warming mat. This is crazy, as I have absolutely no room for any more plants. But I keep on turning this one this way and that one that way making room for more and more and more... I think I need help. And here I work in a psych Hospital hahaha!

We all have those moments. :|

We've all done something like that at one time or another. I agree, the plant will be fine. I sympathize with your addiction. I think most of us here are affected to varying degrees. ;)
