Outdoor Vanda and a cold front coming
1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I live in central Florida and my Vanda live on my south exposure open land. It is my first ever orchid to get to reblom! Temps have been high 80's in the day and mid to high 70's at night. We are expecting a cold front for a few days- lowes in 50-60's at night. SHOULD I bring in my orchids and keep in a sunny window? Y house temps are in the mid to low 70's. This my first post, I hope th picture uploaded!

Better safe than sorry! At least bring the spiking plants in.

Most standard Vandas prefer night time temps no lower than 65F. However, they will grudgingly tolerate temps down to 55F.
If lower than 55F is forecast, bring them inside. There are certain species, which are fine with lower t emps (coerulea & cristata), and to some extent tricolor, which is OK with Cattleya temperatures. |
I would, couldn't hurt for a couple of days.
Nice plant! oh & :welcome: |
Welcome to the Orchid Board! Looks like a nice plant.
