Miltonia moreliana and pollen from Hawaii
 

This IS exiting!

I just placed some crushed pollen from a plant that lives in Hawaii on the stigma of a flower of my Miltonia moreliana. I got the pollen through this forum in august last year, but the sending didn't arrive in time for a successful pollination, so I try again now.

I've done it so many times, but this one is something special. Pollen from the other side of the world, from another volcanic island, and now all I can do is care for the plant and wait and see if it takes!

It did not work. Not only with this pollen, but also with fresh pollen from another plant.
