Most Fragrant Miltonopsis/Miltonia?

1 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

I bought my first miltonopsis a couple weeks ago (hajime ono H184) and love the look and room filling scent! Its strength is on par I think with my Sharry Baby and Maxillariella tenuifolia.

I'm looking for recommendations for other miltonias or miltonopsis varieties people know have a nice/interesting scent? Something sweet like jasmine or citrusy is ok, but just looking for ideas to target.

I read online the miltonia spectabilis moreliana has a licorice type scent?

Thanks!

Welcome. I just bought one entirely due to the fragrance surrounding the table in the greenhouse. Coupled with the beautiful flowers, I was a goner! I was watching the first of the buds unfurling today. I am pacified by the fragrance of 2 other newly purchased orchids as I wait.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be sure to order a moreliana. Any other recommendations? I'm headed to Hawaii for a couple weeks so maybe I can report back some new finds.

Let us know what you find. I have been thinking about getting more scented milts. I was interested to see what people recomend. I have a Miltoniopsis Mario Van Peebles and it is lightly pleasantly scented. The flowers last a long time too. I'm sure there are some new sweet smelling hybrids out there.

Hearing people talk about scented cool-growing Militoniopsis, I feel like the kid allergic to chocolate on Halloween.

I just grow mine inside in a clay pot. You could grow it.
