When I went into full blown orchid obsession, all my coworkers rolled their eyes. Then they told me to shut up- nicely, most of them. When I brought in a pretty NOID den nobile, they just complained that the blooms were fading. So imagine my secret delight when today they were all huddled around her exclaimIng and pointing to me her new growths. Um yeah! TOLD YA SO

This also works with kittens and puppies. Not so much with baby snakes and spiders.
