Urgent- need help with seedling from flask

Well, they are growing roots- like two seedlings have grown together.

While these are drying- maybe someone have advice- should I put the roots above the mix- the upper roots? Cut them?

And yeah- I will start a thread about my flasks when I am done, whenever that might be😜

Here they are:

In those pictured, each is a single seedling with an elongated stem. Not unusual for Paph seedlings coming from crowded or somewhat over-grown flasks, or grown in low light. I would place them with the upper-most root emerging just at the surface of the mix. I usually put seedlings in loose sphagnum to start, and then I would leave the lower leaves on. But in a heavier mix it might be best to cut the buried leaves short and dust the ends with cinnamon.

The hairy roots are quite typical for Paphs.

Search for a thread on growing seedlings in terrariums, written by Fairorchids. Orchid seedlings just out of flask are vastly less tolerant of low humidity and drying out than are small but older plants.

Thanks, I have read that paph can have hairy roots, lol, good thing I read or I might believed it was growing mold😜

I took one leaf- the others just had the roots above.

In different mix- can read more in the thread I am posting about my flaskseedlings :)

Thanks Estación- believe me, I have read every thread I could find about this the last weeks😜😂 And read different articles and read some testing different media. And some blogs, and some videos, and then read some more basic about orchids. Read about the different species- even though it seems like a seedling is a seedling, they want pretty much the same.

Well, let me go start a thread, that hopefully will last for months/years- and not die off before I get started😎
