Please Help - Cymbidium - healthy?
I recently bought this cymbidium and need to know if it's healthy or if I should just return it. I've rarely had success playing orchid doctor and don't have the time to deal with it. After looking at it today, it looks really bad to me.
I have not kept cymbidium before but have a range of general knowledge on various species from both keeping and failing at keeping them (mostly failing or limited success, lol) I'm new here :) Thanks and please let me know. full pics https://www.flickr.com/photos/jpowel...7649344312574/ |

I'm not sure if I am overlooking something - what looks bad to you? |

I wonder if that red wrap around the pot is keeping too much moisture in.

Hoping that someone with cymbidium experience can tell me if these bulbs look healthy or not. I'm just trying to understand is the damage already done and is it worth messing with or if I'm just going to be dealing with a headache should just exchange it. |
Please Help - Cymbidium Healthy?
Reposting this here as I've yet to get a clear answer -
I recently bought this cymbidium (unknown variety) and need to know if it's healthy or if I should just return it. I've rarely had success playing orchid doctor and don't have the time to deal with it. After looking at it today, it looks really bad to me. I have not kept cymbidium before but have a range of general knowledge on various species from both keeping and failing at keeping them (mostly failing or limited success, lol) Hoping that someone with cymbidium experience can tell me if these bulbs look healthy or not. I'm just trying to understand is the damage already done and is it worth messing with or if I'm just going to be dealing with a headache should just exchange it. this image best illustrates my concerns https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8731/...131f78fa_z.jpgcymbidium bulb 1 by joshp428, on Flickr full pics https://www.flickr.com/photos/jpowel...7649344312574/ |
If the bulbs are soft then they are bad, if they are firm probably ok.

To me I see a healthy plant. But there is no picture of the leaves. Cymbidiums have that line across the base if that is what you are referring to.
