If you can only pick one orchid, which one would you choose?

I don't know where to ask the question so I post it here :).
If you got into a jungle and found all kinds of orchid, and you could only take one, which one would you choose? Could you also give me a short explanation why you would choose that one (size, flower, growing condition etc.). Thank you :waving

That is just way to hard of a question for me hehehe I would be taking more than one. I guess one big question for a person would be what are your conditions like? What kind would grow best for me? If I had to get rid of all but one of my orchids I just don't know which one I would keep.

I would choose something with the following characteristics.

1. fragrant
2. blooms at least 2 times a year
3. long lasting blooms (more than 3 weeks)
4. Interestingly shaped or coloured blooms

I don't know what orchid this would be ... but this is my ultimate wish list for the perfect orchid

Whichever parent of Oncidium Sharry Baby it is that gives it the chocolate scent. :D

How about a favourite genera instead? I think I might be able to pull that one off at least. ;)

THIS is my "have to get" orchid ... don't know if it fits all of my requirements but right now this is at the top of my wish list - only because of the scent :biggrin:

It's a huge plant. Mine is probably 2 feet tall, not including the pot. I grow it under lights and it's pretty thirsty too. I haven't found myself able to overwater it, but I am one of those people who forgets to water.

There is an oncidium twinkle that supposedly smells like Sharry Baby, but I haven't seen one yet.

supposedly theres a Cymbidium that smells just like my favorite shrub, Boronia. I would smell this orchid out and take it home with me and never let it go.

does anyone know of this mystery orchid i speak of?

If I could choose just one, I wouldn't have seventy. :)
