Spike or root? Update in 24

Is this after the third leaf down, from the top?
If it is, it could be a spike..

I'm new so don't take my word for it, but it looks like a spike to me :)

Pretty hard to tell from that photo but if it begins to become mitten shaped then it is a spike.

There are 2 leaves below and 2 leaves above

From the color, I think it's a root ... but, I've been known to be wrong ;)

its hard to tell from that photo. Does it have any kind of Point to it? I think in a week you will be able to see what it is for sure. It is has any point to it you can be sure it is a spike. Look at my spike here its about as big as yours..
In a week or 2 yours should have a point to it if it is a spike. It looks round in that photo so might be a root. give it time.

OP here....thanks for all of the insight. I was really hoping for a spike, but I keep telling myself, "roots are good!"I will keep you posted if it looks more mitten like as it grows. Thanks again!
