Jewel Orchid ID help
 

I was perusing the various types of orchids when I came across the jewel type. It is much different than anything that I've seen before and kinda looks familiar to a houseplant that I have around. Am I creating an orchid from a common houseplant or do I have something with a name? Any help appreciated, thanks!

Not an orchid. That is some kind of Peperomia. Peperomia puteolata perhaps.

There is a jewel orchid that is a common houseplant though - Ludisia discolor.
