Vanda - phyllosticta leaf spot?
 

Is that what this is? I've kept this in "vase culture" outside since I got it in early summer. It's been in pretty full sun for most of the day except in late afternoon and is only protected from wind in one direction. I soak it every day to twice a week, depending on how often I remember. It's grown lots of new roots this summer and the tips are still in active growth. It's grown one new leaf and started a second IIRC. Attachment 104468Attachment 104469Attachment 104470I wouldn't be able to give much more light than it's had or more air movement. It grows with my Cattleyas, and they don't show this sporting. It's the time of year where I move them in at night due to temperature and I'll soon be moving them in for good for the winter. Should I worry about this spotting?

That's sunburn. I have one vanda that a few of its leaves get like that because it gets a lot of sun at times.

boy, iphone pics really reproduce poorly here, don't they! Goodness. I'll have to remember to only take real photos when I want to post. Thanks for the reply! The biggest leaf was half grown when I got it, but even the newer ones are spotty. I won't have to worry about it for the winter, then. I'm planning on indoor lighting, but i'm only going to go with Ray's LEDs to save on electricity. The plants will just have to limp through the winter like I do.
