This Miltoniopsis Noid never liked it much in the house but seems much happier in the orchid house i guess due to the increased humidity.

I used to try keeping these in the house but they always struggled or died after have a very hot dry spell of weather. This is the first season that they have been in my new orchid house where the humidity is always above 50% and they are doing so much better. I also think I wasn't watering enough as they had pleated leaves but now i am watering at least a couple of times a week in summer with rainwater and rainmix and it seems to be doing the trick. There are about 20 flowers though not all out at the same time which I don't think is a bad thing as I will get a succession of flowers over several months I think.
Temps have reached up to 31 degrees in the OH this summer but they don't seem to mind as much due to the high humidity.

I haven't had success with miltoniopsis. they just keep gowing for me but they won't flower. Still trying though.,.
