Baby's first flower spike ! It's really gonna happen!!!
 

I am very pleased to see that one of the phals that I rescued from the hospital where I work is making flower spikes! There are two of them, coming from the base on either side of the plant. So happy! I did my best to make all sorts of newbie errors with his phal.. Over potted, over watered, had to trim SO many roots, then it didn't get enough light (Scotland)....but it has forgiven me, I learned, and now we live in harmonic symbiosis. Can't wait to see what color the flowers will be.

This is my first did-it-myself, home-frown flower spike.

Boy I really hope and pray that's a flower spike!!!!!! But I think it is a keiki. Flower spikes are mitten shaped. But whatever it is, it's a great save.
