Can anyone identify this Cymbidium ?
|
There are thousands of mericlones in the marketplace today that look like your plant. Once you lose a plant label, there is little chance of ever getting the true name back on it. My advice is to love it for what it is and give it a special clonal name as Cym. hyb ign 'name of your choice'. Some people call these "noids" meaning no id. When you put your tag in the pot, be sure to put the color on it too.
Many mericlones are now issued without names or even numbers and the distributors could care less. In the future, if it is important for you to have names on your plants, buy from reputable nurseries or private growers who have only named plants in their inventories. Cym Ladye |
Hi Cym Ladye
Thank you , it is a plant I inherited from my parents & is one of many that has no name , thanks for your advice. |
Really pretty, but yes I agree with CymLadye about getting an ID.
