Please help need advice regarding bloom - see photo
2 Attachment(s)
I got this nice orchid from the shop and I was quite stupid because after it bloomed, I cut the flower stem right at the base of the plant. Needless to say I've been left with big green leaves for months now and I have not seen it bloom.
I've taken a picture of it here and I think it might be blooming again but I just wanted confirmation. Could any of you please view this photo and tell me whether it will bloom or not? I have no fertilized it as I am scared of the nitrogen burning it. You can see that there is a shoot on the left and the right, but the right one looks very very green. Anyway I'd really appreciate a response. Im looking forward to a nice purple flower. |
The one on the left is a root. The one on the right I can't see well enough to be totally sure, but I think it's a spike.

The left, if I'm looking at the right thing is a root but the right one looks like a spike yes. You need to read the sticky at the top of this forum.... The phal abuse ends here....I don't know how to post the link. Maybe someone else will. It is very long but if you read the first 12 pages or so you will get the gist of it.
Happy growing, oh and your plant does look good and if it is spiking it must be happy. |
