NOID Snob -- except when I'm not
 

I don't have many NOIDs. A couple that were among my first orchids are still here--sentimental value, you know. And I did fall for a Den. from Thailand early this summer. Increasingly, tho, I turn my nose up at the nameless ones. I prefer species, really, or primary hybrids, even over complex hybrids with pedigrees.

This orphan Dendrobium dealt a blow to my superiority complex. It's back to Chicken Soup for the Orchid Snob's Soul for me ;)

Its good you still have a place in your heart for the occasional deserving UFO (unidentified flowering orchid) ;)

One of my favorite phal is a NOID from home depot and it was the only one there. It caught my eye and could not resist. Glad I did not as well.

That one is stunning! I love the color! And the shape too! I'm not really the person that jumps on phal-dens, but I'd definitely grab hold of this one if I saw it on a shelf somewhere.
