this is a small division from a "recently found" (in the wild) Laelia anceps semi alba, got a 4 bulb division from the original owner, who lives in a rural area, took me a while to convince the lady (owner)... but managed it.

the original plant was growing without any attention in a tree with mother nature giving some care.

ahh  there were some nasty ants, that decided to took revenge on me. and they did.

hopefully this little plant will become stronger next year and bring more flowers.

sorry about the damage to the lower sepals... :( water and sun...

Awesome! The second pic is a very erect flower, beautiful petals. I have a couple of field collected plants. They're not better looking than cultivated examples of their species, but they tell the story of the land they come from, a big reason I mostly grow species.

That is gorgeous.

Thanks to all, :)

i do like the flower shape, flower size was small, not a big surprise as the plant is not really at its best. root system is also poor, but i am confident the plant will move forward :)

i do know that there is better ones out there, but finding one that mother nature did , is quite rewarding (at least for me), and are quite rare.

i believe and hope the size and overall flower improves (next season)

Looks good for a wild flower! I bet with a good fertilizer schedule that next year's flower will be really nice. Its already got great shape!
