Photography challenge #1: Make common things look uncommon
I thought I'd start this thread and see what you come up with. Take pictures of common things from an angle that makes them look uncommon. Take pictures of weeds, noids, ect. use your imagination. I'll start with some weed pictures... mainly dadelions...

What a great idea to do photo challenges. It would be nice to keep it orchid related, but maybe not practical.

Great thread idea, I'm always looking for an excuse to pull out the camera!
In the meantime, here are some shots I took a few months ago. Not plants, but a very common item in many homes: dirty cookingware in the kitchen sink! When I took these pics my original intention was to wash the cooking pot. But then I thought that the remnants of spaghetti sauce made cool reflections in the water... http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8467/8...16142531_b.jpg Kitchen sink art by Camille1585, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8331/8...c4e08dc4_c.jpg Kitchen sink art by Camille1585, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8...ebe08559_c.jpg Kitchen sink art by Camille1585, on Flickr |

Amazing shots Rosie!! The EXIF data isn't visible on Flickr for some reason. Which lens did you use for such a great closeup?
|
LOL, I hide the EXIF data that's why it doesn't show. Hubby's a bit paranoid about more data than we realise going out in that (mainly location I think).
Lens model on all the photos reads EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, so that will the 100mm macro then :) |
