Flower spike or new leaf ?
 

My Yellow bird has two new growth I'm not sure if its going to flower or just growing new leaves, I've have it for about 2 years it was on the discount table for $0.75 so I gave it a home and now its looking good. I'll be happy with new growth or flowers :)

That's a new leaf growing. The spike will come from a little higher, from the leaf itself. Good growing. :)

is that a Brassocattleya Yellow Bird?
is so, that new growth might give you a spike of three to four fragrant yellow flowers....keep on the regular feeding and caring and show pictures if it blooms

The tag said Brassavola Yellow bird, but until it blooms I won't be sure, I've found orchids from lowes discount table to be wrong before, I'm still happy with the way its growing

I've got to find some of these discount tables! What a find for $0.75. Well done!
