Phal Sogo Vivien variegated
I got this guy from Peter from Big Leaf. I posted the same pics on his forum but wanted to share it here as well. I've noticed and have since been confirmed that this plant is slow to grow. As you can see a bunch of the leaf surface is white and free of chlorophyll. The newest leaf has been steadily but very slowly growing for a month or two now.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/19/yme7aven.jpg The patterns it makes are awesome. I've noticed some of the roots are white and some are green. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/19/6ysa2eqy.jpg You can see the newest leaf has almost no green! Poor thing. Lol. The hydroton is developing salt build up... Something I need to take care of soon so new and existing roots don't burn. |
That is one attractive plant. Interesting variegation on the leaves, and you say it extends to the roots too?!
Make sure to post pics when she blooms. Would love to see the whole plant then. Thanks for posting! Judi |

I love that foliage. Please post again when it's in bloom.

Mine had a variegated spike as well. It does grow slow though as it's put on two leaves compared to the regular Sogo Vivien that has 4 going on 5 leaves. They are beautiful though. Your's has great leaf length!
