Parentage questions
A couple of parenatges I am curious about--C. Moscombe 'Grace' and B. Digbyana 'Mrs Chase'. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Cattleya Moscombe, is a complex splash-petal registered in 1963. Complete tree attached.
Brassavola digbyana is a species, now classified as Rhyncholaelia digbyana. The two were crossed, with the offspring registered as Rhyncholaeliocattleya (Rlc.) Golf Green in 2006. |

I stumbled upon this cross at our show last year, good thing it was in flower otherwise I would have passed right by it.
This is Blc. Golf Green 'Hair Pig' It is very frilly! |

However, when you write the name of a species, the genus name is capitalized and the species name is lower case, so it should be Brassavola (now renamed as Rhyncolaelia) digbyana. The varietals can be capitalized as well, so 'Grace' and 'Mrs. Chase' are correct. |
