Introduction from a Louisiana member

I've read the forums for a while but have only just gotten around to posting an introduction this evening. I'm from Louisiana, Baton Rouge to be precise. I have a small (about 25 or so) orchid collection in an upstairs apartment window. The apartment maintains a roughly 55% humidity in this area and I've added shelving and two plant stands to accomodate the group. I'd love more but being a renter with limited space I try [try being the key word here ;) ] obtaining only plants I really want or like. I've recently began turning towards the smaller species/varieties and obtained my first Pleurothallid not long ago. I like the compactness of the plant (it's P. grobyi) and the fact that it began sending up inflorescence on its third day here and hasn't stopped since is also a great bonus!

I look forward to learning a great deal here on the forums and hope to be able to contribute from time to time as well.

welcome! glad you found us! sounds like you have a great set-up. :)

Pleuros are wonderful bloomers. There are a good number of them that just put on a show repeatedly at random times throughout the year. They're a cool group of orchids.
