Miltoniopsis Rouge 'California Plum' HCC/AOS
1 Attachment(s)
Here is my latest blooming Miltoniopsis. It has 7 flowers on 2 spikes. I bought this last summer with 1 spike so am pleased to see 2 spikes this time :).
This is one where the left spike was caught between the leaf and pseudobulb and needed help getting free. It was already kinked when I noticed it. Although you can't see in the photo, the kink completely disappeared and it is a lovely arch. |
Gorgeous flowers. I love Miltoniopsis, especially nice deep reds like this.

Wow! What a beauty. Nicely done - and you're right, you cannot see the former kink at all.
Thanks for sharing! - J |
Excellant!

Thanks for the nice comments. I sure am enjoying my miltoniopsis plants this spring :)

I know this thread is old, but I found it while I was surfing around looking for miltoniopsis.
I think one of my recent NOIDs is exactly the same as yours. I guess I found its name finally! :) Did yours all come with tags? where did you get them from? |
 Beautiful!

Yes, it is pretty much identical isn't it! This cross is a bit variable as I had another of it called 'Burgundy Blush' that had a slightly different look and took on a bit of a blush pink on the white parts as the flowers aged. Mine was tagged and I got this one from Orchids In our tropics in Ontario, Canada. I got several from them but most of mine are from Forestview Gardens in British Columbia, Canada. I have several in bud at the moment.

I just googled up some image of the one you mentioned. It's very interesting how different they look! I like this one with more red on it.
They look so vivid and cheery! I have another red one with white edge but with more pronounced yellow center and very very slight waterfall mark (which I'm not a big fan of). It gives the same effect, vivid and so lively. but the color on that one is clearer and darker, look almost like artificailly made flowers. |
Beautiful blooms. I have always been drawn to this kind of plant, and very easy to grow...
