Clover mites?
 

There are what I believe to be clover mites crawling all over the outside of my apartment building and some have been making their way inside, even with the windows closed. I am a windowsill grower and have been finding a few on my orchid leaves (phals and paph). I've been removing them as soon as I see them, but was wondering if others had any suggestions for dealing with these critters? Does anyone know how potentially harmful they are to orchids?

Most people here commonly recognize them by the name of spider mites.
