Maybe I will try Phal chibae x gigantea to make compact hybrid.

Very nice flowers. Phal. chibae x gigantea I'd like to see! I also wonder what gigantea crossed to a leafless species would come out like. Is the deciduous habit ever dominant in hybrids?

Deciduous phalaenopsis tend to dominate in flower form. However, hybrids are usually not deciduous and easier to grow. I have hybrid made with Phal wilsonii, honghensis. These hybrid keep their leaves thru out 4 seasons in a greenhouse.
