Calimero Orchid?????
 

Someone gave me an orchid as a gift and the label says 'Calimero' but I cannot find out how to look after it since the browser comes up with nothing.......Don't want it to die on me. :bua:

you will probably get a black orchid with an eggshel on top of it, when it blooms :)

OH, It's already in bloom with small round leaves and the blossoms look like a miniature purple phal.

It would help if you could post a picture of it here so that we could identify it and help you with the care requirement.

it sounds more like "Calimero" is one of those commercial names in Europe, meaning actually the nursery and not the plant itself. Like Phalaenopsis Table Dance or Phalaenopsis Cameleon... a picture of teh label on the plant would give a clue..

by the way, if your plant is a NOT (especially being a Phalaenopsis) it will be nearly impossible to have a correct ID!
