Cattleya Bright Angel
 

Hi all,

A great Cattleya and aside from the insect damage on the dorsal I think it's close to award quality. Always difficult to capture the colour but it sparkles. Flowers at different times of the year and I think it will flower again later this year.........this is the start of my Cattleya season and there are another 10 plants in bud. Pretty exciting season ahead.......note that I grow this down to freezing in winter. I grow it in the open air and the minimums in winter are 32F but it also handles some hot temps over 100F. Also there is a second bud behind this flower, should take another couple of weeks to flower the second one though I think.

Generally I'm not a Catt person, but I really like this one! Looks like it could glow in the dark. It's really beautiful! :)
