Please Help ID - Found After Typhoon in High Altitude
I took a hike in Baguio (at an altitude of approximately 1500 meters (5100 ft)) in the Philippines after a typhoon and found this orchid on the ground. It must have fallen off the top of a pine tree.
I greatly appreciate any help in identifying it. Many thanks, Benito P.S. I left it in Baguio as I live in Manila and the temperature and altitude change might affect it. http://www.622design.com/wp-content/...010/orchid.jpg http://www.622design.com/wp-content/...10/orchid2.jpg |
I'm of no help, but I just have to say it's the cutest thing I've ever seen! I hope someone can identify it for you!

I can't help either, but someone will know. We have many who are into photography, who hunt the wilds, and bring us back beautiful pics. Orchids we would probably never see without their wonderful skills. Welcome to the Orchid Board.

It is a Thrixpermum species. Not sure which one, maybe T. robinsonii. Need further research on your own.

Wow! Thank you for sharing this beautiful species. I'll have to look for Thrixpermum now...

Awesome!
Thanks for the help in identifying! I'm on my way to learn more.
Cheers! |
