summer in garden
I have just located my 4 cymbidiums outside to spend the summer in my garden in a place where it will receive direct sun only in the morning until 12 noon. How can I prevent them from being attacked by scale, aphids, etc? Is it necessary to spray to prevent this from occurring?

Welcome to the forum bjames!
I don't spray anything if I don't see anything. A quick check daily might be wise to prevent build up before anything can get out of hand. Happy growing :D |
I'm agree with Gloria,
I have my Cym outside and I have not had anything go after it yet. I control the slug and snail population in my garden in total but aside from that I don't do anything special until I notice pests. If you have a current insect problem, or you are worried you will I'd have a stand by bottle of Bayer Rose insect killer. You can get it at Home Depot or any other store like that I think. It will protect your orchids both inside and outside. |
