Can an orchid be double pollinated?

Can you put two different pieces of pollen (within the same species eg. phal) in the same column? will the seeds be of both types?

If both pollinia are viable, but you won't know which parent the offspring came from if you get seed and plants. Not a very good way to make hybrids.

Yea, all the offspring will be mixed and unless the parents are totally different I would assume it would be really hard to figure out the lineage of each offspring.
