for the past several weeks I notice in a vacant lot a few blocks from me this plant rudely tied and nailed to a palm tree, so! just a few moments ago on the way back from a store I decided to check it out, I think its some type of Orchid, judging from the leafs and roots, its in pretty good shape considering how long its been tangling there, our recent wet weather must have picked it up some... here it is.....oohh!! yes I snatched it..

I noticed the similarities in the plants, but the ones on this are much larger, I am surprised how good condition it is considering how long the home has been empty.

Well, Epidendrums are pretty hardy, and it's been raining lately here in So Cal.

Some Epidendrums can be found in the wild growing in Florida.

Epidendrums are pretty diverse.

That is a very rare palm orchid ,known to only grow on palms all over the world I believe there is some sort of symbiotic relationship between palm and orchid
