Here is another Masdie from Ivan Komoda. It's a very difficult color to capture. It's kind of a dark brick red.

I'm headed to Maui for 2 weeks at the end of the month. I've emailed Ivan and made an appointment to meet him and tour his greenhouse. I can hardly wait. I need to see if I can add EOOM on the same day. :dance13:

Oh Terri, how I envy you. I would love to see his Masd growing area. Take lots of pictures, both of the individual plants and of the growing area. I'll be waiting to see them. I always enjoy your pictures so very much.

I will take lots of pictures Marilyn I promise. I'm sure a plant or two will find it's way into my carry on bag. They always do when I visit the islands. Seems like a good tradition to maintain! :lol:

I checked the 5 day forecast and it's sunny and 80 all of next week. Hope it stays that way for awhile. It's been 5 years since I visited Maui so I'm really looking forward to going back.
