Odcdm. Tiger Hambuhren x Odcdm. Crowborough rescued plant needs some advice

you can call me cheap, raising a family in NYC on a single income is pretty hard. But I think what interest me about Orchid is their ability to revive and what's become my new hobby is to take poor/neglected(and often cheap) orchid and raise them back to health and see them bloom again. Here is another one of my cheap $5.00 Chinatown find. This one looks okay other than the very dried up and very wrinkled pseudobulbs. There are still some leftover blossoms on it making identifying a bit easier. The roots looks very full and healthy. However, the plant is infested with ants, and on my initial watering(drowning of the pot), a slug came out of the potting mix. I have since replanted in proper Onc. mix(small coconut husk mix) and treat the plants with insecticidal soap spray. I'm having problem getting rid of the ants and I'm open to any suggestions on what you would do to get this plant on the right path.

here are some photos.

Hey, I would be doing the same thing if I had the chance to get orchids for that price. Your plant looks pretty good! The blooms are beautiful!
I had ants nesting in one of my pots once, and I just soaked (drowned them) in water, and then took it out of that medium and threw away all the old and sprayed the roots, etc, before repotting, just like you did. Never had anymore problems.
At least this will bump you back up to the top for someone else to give you their take on ant removal. :)

thanks, btw I think I know what "bump" means now.

No more ants spotted on this plant, but the leaves on the two smaller growth up front are starting to yellow pretty bad, a couple of blossom start to look limpy and withered. I gave the pot a very good rinse in cool/lukewarm water to wash away any residual insecticidal soap(food grade organic type). I think I might've over dosed it because the plant is starting to look pretty bad.
