Dactylorhiza spp.
I was out orchid hunting today, and found a nice group of orchids. I'm not familiar with the species growing in the Netherlands, but I do know that it is some sort of Dactylorhiza. I'm thinking that it might be the Southern Marsh orchid, Dactylorhiza praetermissa. Looks a lot like it, they are found in the Netherlands, and I found these at the edge of a marsh. Or it could be a natural hybrid, since Dactylorhiza orchids hybridize quite easily.
Does anyone have an idea of what it might be? http://inlinethumb38.webshots.com/44...500x500Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb07.webshots.com/43...500x500Q85.jpg |
No idea what it is Camille, but it is really pretty.
It's so great to see pics of them growing in the wild like that. :cheer: |
