Hi Zulhadi and welcome to the forum. I would also like to know the answer as I have quite a few plants and would like to know more.

Anyone?

;-)

The answer really depends on whether you are looking for a picture book of hybrids, taxonomy books or general cultural books. For a complete picture, you probably need several books. Most general orchid books pretty much cover cattleya culture.

Dr Carl Withner has written a couple of excellent Cattleya books I will find out the tittles and how to obtain them.

I had a feeling there would be several books instead of just one. I wonder if anyone is planning to write a book that covers everything........now that would be one big coffee table book I would think!!!!

;-)

Hi Zulhadi... :welcome: to OrchidBoard!
I agree with the idea that you'll need more than one book as a reference unless you are looking for something of particular interest in the Cattleya area. The people here will surely give you a number of choices :D

We'd love to hear more from you...where are you located? Do you grow orchids already or are you just starting to catch the fever? ;)

We have an area for Introductions...please post a hello so we can show you what a wonderful OrchidBoard greeting is like!

Hey Tindo
your way ahead of me Good on ya! Dr Withner is a real authority on Catts and it is an honor when he comes to our society shows and meetings

Glad to hear those are good books. I might just get me one or three.

I have the complete series of Withner books and very highly recommend them. I got them when a friend was selling out of orchids.
