Phrag Advice?

I just picked up my first Phrag. Called Coral Jewel (sargentianum x schlimii) I dont know much about them but I'd like to learn as I go. So any advice is appreciated. So far all I know is to keep fairly moist all the time with quality water and medium sun. Is it true phrags like a low PH? If so, what do I add to lower the PH level?

Also, should I sit the pot in water? I read that "some" like that.

i believe they like a higher ph.add crushed limestone or oyster shell.

Uhh...I've got conflicting information that says they like to be on the slightly acid side. That would be a pH of 5.5 or lower.

Some Paphs on the other hand like a bit of lime and adding oyster shell as a top dressing in the pot can be helpful.

How about sitting them in water?

I'm with Terri on this one.
My ph is 7.2 - 7.4 and they all do fine with that.
You can allow you're phrag to sip water if you're using distilled or RO water - something low in calcium, other wise you will have too much salt build up.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Phrags!

:D
