epidendrum porpax light requirements

:hello I just moved some epidendrum propax out of my viv to give it some refuge from the slugs and snails living there. Does anyone know the light requirements for it? I'm growing it under 4x48" T8s. I am planning on keeping it about 8" from the lights unless someone knows better.

On a more general note... Is there somewhere that lists the light requirements for different orchids? I can't find the info consolidated anywhere, and feel like i must be missing something.

Thanks,
Mark

I see you are not getting responses. I don't grow this particular Epi, but just about every epi I know of, wants really bright light. That will depend on your latitude, of course. At 45 degrees north, I grow my Epis in full sun. At lesser latitudes, that may not be good advice.

I have since sold this (I'm not a huge alba fan), but this one was grown along side of cattleyas

Does anyone know where a comprehensive care sheet can be found on epidendrum porpax or a close relative?

Try Orchid Culture -- Charles and Margaret Baker.
