Weekend finds!! (pics)
 

This past weekend I went to the Ridge Orchid Show/Sale in Lakeland, FL and picked up this Burr. Stefan Isler 'Dos Pinhos'. So pretty!!! The colors are gorgeous in person. It has one blooming spike about 3' tall and a smaller one still developing. Flowers are about 2" wide.

On my way back into town, I stopped at an orchid shop and picked up this Onc. Carnival Costume. It has 4 spikes! Flowers are about 1" wide.

Very very nice! :) Does the Burr Stefan Isler have any scent? I have Burr Nelly Isler, and that one smells really strong around mid day.

I'm not sure if the Burr. has any scent yet, I haven't been home the last couple days to check. I will check when I get home today though! That would be cool - I have a lot of Onc's and most of them are unscented :roll: So this would be a nice change!

Hello there, I think we stopped at the same Orchid shop/Bonsai shop in WP area, on Lee Rd I think? I'm not sure, as JennS was telling me where to drive! Anyways, we bought the same plant, the ONC CARNIVAL COSTUME, and I'm thinking from the same man. If so, do you have that Business name?? As I can't find it, and I need to know it. I can't reach Jenn, so I thought I try you and see if we bought from the same man??

It's called City Oasis, on 17-92 & Virginia. I know that if you go on the weekends when the owner is working he's very good to negotiate prices with :) He gave me a 10% discount card to use everytime too!

I have a few Carnival Costumes spiking right now! Nice flowers! Easy growers!

Beautiful flowers! I bought the Burr. Stefan Isler 'Dos Pinhos' at the AOS Gardens a few months ago. It was on the sale table and finished blooming so I am glad to see what it will look like! I just checked it, no bloom spikes yet, but now I know what I have to look forward to!
