Leaves
1 Attachment(s)
My phal has started having a bad looking leaf with a black area on it. I don't know what to do with it. Any tips would be great!
|
is it mushy?
|
It appears to be bacterial brown spot, its a small water soaked lesion which turns brown or black and my have yellowing edges. Physan or captan fungicide powder (mixed with water) should do the trick. Personally, I would cut to a fresh part of the leaf using a clean razor blade and cinnamon on the cutting edge. Hopefully another member will chime in for additional advise or diagnosis.

Cheryl, is that the same thing as what you get with sunburn? :scratchhead:
This is the season when the light shifts. Just wondering. :hmm I honestly don't know and am trying to get a handle at what is happening when you get a browish area like that. Was that from sun? Too much water? :dunno: Is it just me, or are alot of these type problems happening at this time of year? :_( |
The area isn't mushy. The leave is just a little more limp than the other healthy leaves.
