Rhynchostylis gigantea 'Red'

It is just a baby blooming out for the second time for me! The dark, uniform burgundy coloring is fantastic. Ah...and so nicely fragrant!!

She's a beauty Mauro. I have one like this but she only spikes in the cooler months...usually between the end of Dec. and Feb.

Mauro,
How old is yours? I recently purchased one and it is tiny! Maybe about 2 inches across.

lol. Are you serious? if it can bloom three times a year, then its pushed itself up to the top of my list

That is a real beauty. I love the dark vivid color. That one may need to go on my list also. The size of the plant doesn't look overwhelming and I like that. Does yours get a cool period to encourage blooming?

Eight years, approximately. It will take a little time for yours to show its face. But then, while you wait, you can fill the gap with hundreds of other orchids! And, among so many other things, that's what's nice about orchids.
