Den. trantuanii - fungal issue?
 

Fresh from my previous plea for help, I am this time asking about a recently bought Dendrobium trantuanii.

It was described as "not blooming size", which looks to be an understatement (the pot is 6cm)! I understand that such small seedlings are particularly sensitive to any issues with their culture. With that in mind...

As you can see, the leaves are spotted (they were like this on arrival). Might this be a fungal issue? If so, how should this be treated? For what it's worth, they are growing at ~50-60% humidity.

More concerning to my untrained eye is the dark colouring on (or in?) the larger pseudobulb. What are your thoughts?

Don’t go crazy with treating it just yet. It could be normal for the spotting. If that part of the Pseudobulb isn't squishy. But if you want to feel ease of mind. Treat it with a systemic fungicide.

I have had this species bloom for me in a 2''(5 cm) pots before. But they were larger canes than what it appears you have.

I don't see a fungal infection. I wouldn't treat for fungus unless I knew a plant had an infection, I knew which fungus it had, and I had a fungicide known to be effective on that fungus. Not all fungi are susceptible to all fungicides. Unnecessary fungicide use selects out resistant strains of fungi, and kills beneficial organisms that may help plants fight off infections.

I agree with the above posts - I would just keep an eye on it and see if anything changes.

One of the few orchids to survive my various moves is this particular species (12 years I've dragged it around with me), and in my experience they are prone to leaf spots, which have always been harmless.

Also, I don't know if it's just the lighting or the camera, but the colour green looks a bit darker than usual. These are usually a paler, more silvery/yellowy green, so perhaps the dark patch is from a bit too much light. It's hard to tell, but if the bulb isn't squishy, that would be my guess.
