Place your bets - Coelogyne flacida or lactea

I bought this orchid two months ago for $5 at my orchid society meeting. Nobody wanted her. It was named lactea. After transplanting it, giving it some morning sun and a little fertilizer, it sent up a flower spike. The spike hangs down. After reading about it, they say the difference between the two is lactea has an upright spike while flacida's hands down. I'm thinking it's a flacida and was named incorrectly. Thoughts?

This is a tough one but I have to say it does not look like lactea. Flaccida or mossiae? Lactea doesn't look like it has droopy or undulated petals at all.

This is is based on looking a photos online so don't listen to me

Gorgeous bloom!

Maybe Coel. Intermedia (cristata x tomentosa) or Coel. Unchained Melody (cristata x flaccida)? These primary hybrids are often mislabeled.

No idea, never grown them. But that's sure a nice bloom for a $5 plant! Looks real healthy as well. Good growing.

I enjoy buying "scratch and dent" plants (as I call them). Sometimes they're in pretty rough shape, maybe no one wants them, maybe there's no name, sorta like the island of misfit toys. I love rescuing them and bringing them back to health and their full potential. Nobody wanted this guy, but look at him now! He's pumped up, greened up and now flowering.
Thanks for the quick replies. Anyone else want to chime in? I am open to suggestions.
Thanks all...
